The worst is when you get it from black people, who are your actual friends and family. Definitely a BIG thing in the Caribbean community too. And I can almost recount, verbatim, conversations I have had with guys who tell me why they are not attractive to dark skinned girls.
Thanks for sharing. It is comforting to see other women who are not afraid to share their stories and their hurt. Far to common do people want to dismiss the issue as being something of the past.
